William H. Craig Race for Life 5K and 10K
The William H. Craig Race for Life takes place on December 7, 2025, at UNCW - 601 S. College Road (Greene Track) in Wilmington, NC. The event includes two race distances:

- 10K
Entry fees are listed as $45 for the 5K and $50 for the 10K, with reduced prices for ages 5-18 ($30 for the 5K, $35 for the 10K). Prices increase after November 30, 2025.
Event features and community support
The course is described as a flat route around the UNCW campus. The event includes holiday-themed elements such as artificial snow, snowball activities, elves, Santa, and hot chocolate. School teams from elementary, middle, and high schools may participate. The event supports the Bill Craig Memorial Fund; proceeds provide financial support for programs including the YMCA’s Girls on the Run and STRIDE, Victory Junction Gang Camp, and the Bill Craig Memorial Scholarship. Past distributions include $51,400 in scholarships for Girls on the Run and STRIDE runners, support for 15 children to attend a week at Victory Junction, and $28,500 in college scholarships.
An 8-week Walk to Jog training program runs from October 13 to December 4, meeting Mondays and Thursdays at the Track at Nir. Program fees are $75 for members and $125 for non-members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
