The AvanceCare Dashing Thru The Glow takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in downtown Wilmington, NC. The start and finish line is at Live Oak Bank Pavilion, 10 Cowan Street, Wilmington, NC 28401. Distances offered:

The event is run or walk through downtown holiday light displays along the Cape Fear River. A Downtown Wilmington Holidays on the Water drone show is scheduled the same evening. Parts of the course are a little dark; participants are encouraged to bring a headlamp.
Additional details
All finishers receive a finisher medal at the finish line. Event swag includes a race shirt (while supplies last), a finisher medal, a holiday hat or light up holiday beanie, cookies, a glow necklace, and free pictures with Santa. There is a Best Dressed Costume Contest for adults and children, with winners determined by audience applause.
5K awards: top three males and top three females overall, plus top three males and females in age groups (10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+). 1 Mile awards: top boy and top girl (12 and under).
The event raises funds for the Coastal Horizons Open House Youth Shelter and for Toys for Tots. Donating a new unwrapped toy qualifies for a $5 registration discount. Parking is any legal available spot in downtown Wilmington. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
