The 17th Annual Williamsburg Landing 5k Run/Walk for The Arc raises funds for The Arc of Greater Williamsburg, which is marking its 50th year of serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. One hundred percent of event proceeds benefit the organization's mission to provide educational, vocational, health and wellness, life skills, cultural, social, and recreational programs, and respite for families and caregivers.
Distances offered:
- 5k Run/Walk (about 3 miles)
- One Mile Fun Run
Both distances are available as in person events at Williamsburg Landing and as virtual events completed at a time and location of the participant's choice. The course is an out-and-back route across the 137 acre Williamsburg Landing campus, which sits in tree covered hills adjacent to College Creek. Registration and packet pickup are at the William A. Doig Health Club and Spa, 3000 The Mall.
The standard registration fee is $50 and increases to $55 on September 5. Entrants aged ten and under register free. Arc clients may use code CLIENT for a $20 registration rate. Middle, high school, and college students may use code STUDENT for a $25 registration rate. Entrants registered by September 14 will receive a T-shirt in the requested size; others receive T-shirts if available.
Parking will be at Laurel Lane Elementary School, 112 Laurel Lane, with shuttle service to the health club. Light snacks, fruit, water, and pizza from Anna's Brick Oven Pizza will be available.
