17th Annual Williamsburg Landing 5k Run/Walk for The Arc
The 17th Annual Williamsburg Landing 5k Run/Walk for The Arc is a community athletic event held on the grounds of a 152-acre campus in Williamsburg, Virginia. The event supports The Arc of Greater Williamsburg, an organization that has provided services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities for five decades. All proceeds from the race are used to fund programs including life skills training, health and wellness activities, and recreational initiatives for community members.
Participants can choose from several event formats:
- 5k Run/Walk (In-person and virtual options)
- One Mile Fun Run (In-person and virtual options)
The in-person course is an out-and-back route that traverses tree-covered hills neighboring College Creek. The event headquarters, including registration and packet pickup, is located at the William A. Doig Health Club and Spa. Participants who register by the specified September deadline are eligible to receive an event T-shirt.
Parking for the event is situated at Laurel Lane Elementary School. Shuttle services are provided to transport participants between the parking area and the health club. Following the physical events, the organizers provide light snacks, fruit, water, and pizza. An awards ceremony recognizes top finishers across various age categories, and raffle tickets for door prizes are available for purchase during the event.
