Event Overview
The Will Run for Food 5K takes place in Mount Ulla, North Carolina. All event proceeds benefit the Rowan Helping Ministries West Food Bank, and canned food donations are collected at the race. The event includes two distances: a 5K and a 1/2 Mile Fun Run.
Location and Course
The race starts and finishes at Centenary United Methodist Church on Centenary Church Road. Dogs are not permitted on the course.
Registration and Fees
Race day registration is available at the church from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM.
- 5K: $30 by February 27; $35 on race day.
- 1/2 Mile Fun Run: $15.
Awards and Recognition
5K Awards Cash prizes are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers: $100 for first place, $50 for second, and $25 for third. The top three male and female masters runners also receive awards. Age group awards are presented three deep for both males and females across multiple categories. Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards.
Fun Run Awards All preregistered fun run participants receive a medal and a t-shirt. The top three overall finishers aged 12 and under are also recognized with a medal.
Awards can be picked up at the church for two weeks after the event and will not be mailed.
