Freeze Your Buns Run 5K
The Freeze Your Buns Run 5K takes place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Spencer, North Carolina. The event address is 460 S. Salisbury Avenue, Spencer, NC 28159. It is held in conjunction with Winterfest, a German Christmas marketplace, and proceeds from the race benefit Winterfest.

Race details
The 5K registration fee is $25 through December 5, 2025, and $30 on December 6 with on-site registration available. The Fun Dash fee is $15. Price increases take effect after December 5, 2025.
Awards for the 5K include top 3 overall male and female, top masters male and female, and top 3 in each age division for male and female. Age divisions are: 12 & under; 13-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; and 70 & over. Medals will be given to the top 3 in each division. Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards. Fun Dash awards go to the top 3 male and female ages 12 and under. Awards will not be mailed.
5K participants receive a long sleeve technical T-shirt. Timing and scoring for the 5K will be provided by Salisbury Rowan Runners. The race may be delayed or cancelled if weather conditions pose a safety hazard. Sponsors include Duke Energy and Salisbury Rowan Runners.
