The Will Frederick Memorial 5K Run For The Kids is an annual community run and walk held in York, South Carolina. The 2026 edition is the eighth running of the event and takes place on April 25, 2026 at Lifeway Church, 114 South Congress Street, York, SC 29745.
The event fields hundreds of walkers and runners and involves support from more than 25 sponsors. Over the years the race has raised more than $100,000. Proceeds have been used for local scholarships, funding adoptions, supporting youth sports teams, providing Christmas assistance for children, and sending young people to Christian camps.
This is a non-chipped race. A time clock will be provided at the finish line and each participant is responsible for collecting their own time. Prizes are awarded to first, second, and third place male and female finishers. Organizers offer participant t-shirts for the 2026 race while supplies last and maintain a race route available through the event organizer.
