Course and logistics
The race course uses trails at Anne Springs Close Greenway, with the start at the Rush Pavilion. Bib pickup will be available at the start location on race day. Registrants receive a choice of a bell. Awards are given to overall and age group winners. Registration is required for permit and insurance purposes; registration closes on December 30.
Additional notes
The event’s distance has varied in past years (for example, 18K in 2018 and 8K in later years); the 2026 edition is set as a 10K with a 5K option. At registration, participants may choose a donation level to support an organization in western North Carolina involved in Hurricane Helene recovery.
