Night Owl 5K
Night Owl is a nighttime trail event at Anne Springs Close Greenway on Friday, December 11, 2026. The course starts and finishes at the Lake Haigler entrance. Participants and spectators may order food and drinks from Greenway Canteen and shop at the visitor center while using Greenway trails.
The event offers multiple ways to take part:
- 5K trail race, timed
- 5K Hike Challenge, same course as the 5K, untimed
- 1-mile Fun Run/Walk, untimed, finisher’s prize
Awards apply only to the 5K. Age groups are 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Award categories include the top three overall male and female and the top three male and female in each age group. The Hike Challenge has no awards.
Race registration is non-refundable unless a refund protection plan is purchased. Transfers more than two weeks before the event may be allowed to another competitor or to another Greenway race of equal or lesser value at the discretion of the Race Director. Events run in most weather; severe weather may lead to cancellation without refund unless refund protection was purchased.
Early packet pickup is available the day before at the Greenway Gateway at the Lake Haigler entrance. 2026 race swag is listed as coming soon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
