Night Owl 5K - Event overview
The Night Owl 5K is a night trail event at Anne Springs Close Greenway on Friday, December 11, 2026. The 5K starts and finishes at the Lake Haigler entrance. The event takes place on Greenway trails and includes live music and a Friday night campout option. Participants and spectators may use the on-site visitor center and restaurant for food and gear.
Race options, camping and awards
- 5K - timed night trail race on Greenway trails.
- Hike Challenge - same 5K route experienced at night, untimed.
- 1-mile Fun Run/Walk - untimed trail run/walk; participants receive a finisher’s prize.
Race registration includes complimentary field camping for one person; additional campers can be added during registration. The Fun Run/Walk registration does not include free or discounted camping. Awards apply only to the 5K: top 3 overall male and female and top 3 male and female in age groups 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Registration is non-refundable unless a purchased refund protection plan is selected. Transfers more than two weeks before the event are possible at the race director’s discretion.
