Event Overview

The Night Owl event at the Anne Springs Close Greenway offers several ways to participate on its trails at night. It includes a timed 5K trail race, a non-timed 5K Hike Challenge, and an untimed 1-mile Fun Run/Walk. The event starts and finishes at the Lake Haigler entrance.

Activities and Features

Participants are encouraged to wear festive holiday outfits or winter pajamas, with prizes for the top three best-dressed. They can also use headlamps, glow sticks, or flashlights. The start/finish area provides access to the Greenway Canteen restaurant, a visitor center for shopping, and popular Greenway trails.

Registration and Awards

Registration opens on March 1. A refund protection plan is available at registration. Awards are given only for the 5K race, for top three overall male and female finishers and top three in each age group. There are no awards for the Hike Challenge or Fun Run/Walk. All participants in the Fun Run/Walk receive a finisher's prize.
