Night Owl at Anne Springs Close Greenway
Night Owl is a night trail event held at the Lake Haigler entrance of Anne Springs Close Greenway. The program includes a timed 5K trail race, a Hike Challenge that follows the same 5K course without timing, and a 1 mile fun run or walk. The start and finish are located at the Lake Haigler entrance, where participants and spectators may access the Greenway Canteen and the visitor center.
The 5K includes awards only. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers within age groups. Age group categories include 19 and under, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 plus. Fun Run participants receive a finisher’s prize at the finish line. A prize is also awarded for the top three best-dressed participants.
The event runs rain or shine except in cases of severe weather when the event may be canceled. Race registration is non refundable unless a refund protection plan was purchased at registration. Greenway members do not pay parking fees at signature events; standard daily admission fees apply to non members ages 3 and up.
