Night Owl 5K
Night Owl is a nighttime trail event at Anne Springs Close Greenway held at the Lake Haigler entrance. The event offers a timed 5K on Greenway trails, an untimed Hike Challenge that uses the same 5K course, and a 1 mile Fun Run/Walk.
Distances and formats:
- 5K race - timed trail race on Greenway trails.
- Hike Challenge - same 5K course, untimed.
- 1 mile Fun Run/Walk - untimed trail run with a finisher’s prize.
The start and finish are at the Lake Haigler entrance, where the Greenway Gateway visitor center and Greenway Canteen provide retail and food options. Post race firepits are available. Participants may use headlamps, glow sticks, and flashlights for nighttime trail navigation. A costume contest awards prizes to the top three best dressed.
Awards apply to the 5K only. Age groups are 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Awards include top three overall male and female finishers and top three male and female in each age group.
Registration is non-refundable unless refund protection was purchased. Transfers more than two weeks before the event may be allowed at the Race Director’s discretion.
