Wildcat Summer Cup - August 5K
The Wildcat Summer Cup is a three-race 5k series in downtown Montgomery, organized by the Sunrise Social Club and sponsored by River Region Runners (R3). The series includes three dates: June 14 at Vaughn Road Park, July 12 at Cloverdale Park, and August 9 at the Union Station Train Shed. The event listed for August takes place at 210 Water Street, Montgomery, AL 36104.
Each race is 3.11 miles. The course will be marked and hand timed and is described as unofficial. Participants are responsible for keeping their bibs for the duration of the series and bringing them to each race. Bib pickup will be available on race mornings.
Registration opens February 28, 2026 and closes August 9, 2026. One payment of $20 covers a bib for the entire series, which comprises the three 5k races. Registration will remain available through the summer and pickup will be available at each race day.
After each run there is a BYOB potluck brunch. The series is presented as a recurring community running activity with on-site timing and a social brunch component. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
