Wild Turkey 5 Mile Run Salem
The Wild Turkey 5 Mile Run is an annual Thanksgiving morning road race in Salem, Massachusetts. All proceeds support the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem. The event is staged on a course that returns to its original route and runs by the Salem Willows pier, with the start area located on Salem Common near the Witch Museum.
Packet pickup is offered before race day at New England Running Company, Commodore Plaza, 43 Enon St., Beverly, and on race day at the Peabody Essex Museum Atrium on the Pedestrian Mall in Salem. Awards are distributed inside the Peabody Essex Museum once results are posted by the timing company. Parking garages are located near the start and finish areas.
Registration details and shirt distribution are part of the event: online registration runs through the pre-race period and race day registration is available; the first 1,600 entries receive long sleeve shirts. Recent participant data for 2025 notes women comprised 54.86% of entrants, ages ranged from 7 to 80, and there were 1,818 registered runners representing 22 states and Canada.
