About the race
Wild Dart Swim and Aquathlon in Galmpton Creek, near Stoke Gabriel, Brixham, offers a 4k swim and a 15k aquathlon (4k swim plus a 10k run). Registration is at The Shed, Stoke Gabriel, with finish at the Dolphin Boatyard, Galmpton, where catering is provided. The course features a downstream 4k swim to the boatyard; aquathletes then run about six miles through Greenway Woods and nearby lanes back to the finish.
A new route and venue emphasize clean bathing water, with water-quality updates from Friends of the Dart. Safety is provided by kayaks and rescue craft; drop bags are transported to the finish.
