About the race
Haytor Heller is a popular, off-road moorland race in Devon, hosted by Teignbridge Trotters. Now in its 39th year, the single-lap course covers about 6 miles of rugged Dartmoor, starting below Haytor Rock and finishing with a fast downhill return to Haytor. Runners tackle steep ascents and descents, with two woodland sections (below Hound Tor and Haytor) and a stream crossing.
Marshals guide at key points, with water stations at Hound Tor and the finish, and a strict cut-off at the top of Hound Tor. Race HQ is at the Coach Park; there are cakes, a BBQ, and photos for finishers. Entry is limited to 350. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
