Event overview
The New Forest Xmas Trails is a trail running festival held in the New Forest National Park. All distances use a fully marked, one-lap off-road course that starts and finishes at Holmesly Campsite in Bransgore. Routes run over heathland and woodland and are described as runnable with some challenging sections.

Practical information
Parking is available on hard standing at Holmesly Campsite, Forest Rd, Burley, Christchurch BH23 7EQ. Runners collect race bibs from the registration tent at the start location. Registration windows are given separately for different distances. Bag drop tents will be available in the start/finish area.
Organisers require specific kit for longer distances: 30k, marathon and 50k runners must carry at least 500 ml of fluid. Mandatory items include a waterproof jacket, hat, gloves, buff, a foil blanket or orange survival bag, and a mobile phone. Runners are advised to download the GPX route to a watch or mobile device because course markings may be tampered with. Cut off times are provided for each distance. Aid stations will be provided on course and event photographers will operate on the route. Runners can opt to have a tree planted instead of receiving a finishers medal through the Trees Not Tees scheme. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
