About the race
The Wiggle Waggle Walk & Run is a community running and fundraising event taking place Saturday, September 26 at Hog's Back Park in Ottawa. Routes start and finish on Hog's Back Road and travel along Colonel By Drive. Distances offered include: - 1K Kids Fun Run - 2K Furry Fun Run with pets - 3K Walk - 5K Run - 10K Run The festival grounds at Hog's Back Park include a Family Fun Zone, a K9 Fun Zone and a marketplace with more than 25 pet friendly vendors.
Registration categories and fees for individual participants are listed as adult $60 (17 years and over), youth $25 (6 to 16 years) and free for children 5 years and under. Group and corporate options are available, including team and corporate pricing. Fundraising is structured to recognize higher contributions: participants who raise $500 or more gain VIP status and are entered into a fundraiser contest; one entry is awarded for every $500 raised. VIP benefits on the event day include access to a VIP tent, refreshments, a complimentary pet portrait, entry to the walk draw, lunch, VIP washrooms and complimentary paw printing for pets at the Puppy Pawcasso booth. Race bib pick-up is available in advance at the Ottawa Humane Society office at 245 West Hunt Club Road or onsite at the Hog's Back Park registration tent.
