Run Ottawa’s Annual 5K Light Run
Run Ottawa’s Annual 5K Light Run is a festive evening event in support of the Ottawa Food Bank. The gathering point is Ottawa City Hall (Laurier Avenue entrance) on Thursday, December 10. Participants are asked to dress for the weather and to wear lights and reflective gear.
Merry makers proceed in designated pace groups along a planned downtown route; a route map is noted as available and a recorded route exists on Strava. Walkers and runners are asked to follow pedestrian traffic rules while moving through the downtown area.
Donations for the Ottawa Food Bank are accepted online, and non-perishable food items and cash donations are accepted in person on the night of the event. The date may change if weather conditions are not favourable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
