Run Ottawa Annual 5K Light Run
The Run Ottawa Annual 5K Light Run is a festive community event held in support of the Ottawa Food Bank. Participants gather at Ottawa City Hall, specifically at the Laurier Avenue entrance, to complete a 5 km route through the downtown area. The event is designed as a celebration of the holiday season, allowing participants to view the downtown lights.
Those taking part are encouraged to wear holiday costumes along with lights and reflective gear. The event is open to both runners and walkers, and participants head out in designated pace groups. Safety is managed by following a specific route map and abiding by all pedestrian traffic rules during the activity.
