18th Annual Walk in Arizona
The Wickenburg Walks to Boot Breast Cancer is an annual community event held in Arizona. The walk takes place in Wickenburg, featuring a route that travels through the historic downtown area and the scenic Simpson's Ranch. Participants of all ages can take part in this easy walking event to support breast cancer awareness and survivors.
Participants can choose from several distance options and participation methods:
- 1 mile walk
- 5 km walk
- Virtual walk
The event includes an opening ceremony dedicated to the celebration of survivors. Survivors lead the start of the walk as it commences. In addition to the physical course, the event recognizes team efforts with awards for the most funds raised and the largest team memberships.
Costumes are encouraged for all walkers on the day of the event. The walk is pet-friendly, as dogs are allowed to join as long as they remain on a leash. The finish line area features information booths and prize drawings for participants. Participants who register by specific deadlines in late August and September are eligible for early bird rates and event T-shirts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
