Event Details
The Wicked Wine Run takes place at Waterfront Park in Louisville, Kentucky. The event features two distances: a 5K and a 1K.
The Course and Activities
The 5K is a run/walk event with a 90-minute time limit to complete the course. There are two water stations along the route. Participants receive a finisher medal and a glass of wine at the finish line.
The 1K is a tasting walk. Participants stop at three wine sampling stations along the course, with a fourth tasting available at the finish line. All participants in the 1K receive a wine glass.
Event Day
The event begins with gates opening and packet pickup starting. The 5K starts first, followed later by the 1K. An after-party follows the runs, featuring music, games, and food available for purchase. There are dance and costume contests where participants can win prizes.
What's Included
A ticket for the 5K includes an event shirt, a finisher medal, a free glass of wine at the finish line, an event bib, and access to the after-party.
A ticket for the 1K includes an event shirt, three one-ounce wine tastings on the course, a fourth tasting at the finish line in a wine glass, an event bib, and access to the after-party.
Spectators can purchase a separate tasting-only ticket, which includes an etched wine glass and a bracelet for purchasing wine at the event.
Logistics
Participants must bring a QR code and an ID for check-in. Parking at the venue may cost up to $20 per vehicle. Packet pickup is available the day before the event and on race day for a $5 fee.
