Santa Sprint & Stroll 5k 2026
The Santa Sprint & Stroll 5k is scheduled for December 19, 2026, at Hogan's Fountain on the Scenic Loop in Cherokee Park, Louisville, KY. The event is part of the River City Races Run the 502 series and benefits United Crescent Hill Ministries. It is presented as the 29th annual Santa Sprint & Stroll.
The event offers an in-person 5k on the scenic loop in Cherokee Park and a virtual 5k option. The virtual 5k can be completed independently, with virtual results accepted between December 18 and December 21 and finisher certificates available for download on December 22. A Family of Four registration option provides a $10 discount and requires creating a team.
Participants receive a long sleeve cotton blend shirt, including youth sizes, and a finisher medal. Refreshments are served after the race. Age group awards are given with Ken Combs Running Store gift certificates for the top three finishers in five-year age categories. Photos with Santa are part of the event.
Packet pickup and late registration are available the day before at Ken Combs Running Store, 4137 Shelbyville Rd, and on race day at the Stegner Pavilion at Hogan's Fountain. Parking is limited around the Scenic Loop; participants are asked to avoid parking on the grass and consider carpooling or parking farther around the loop for a short walk to the start area.
