Event overview
The Santa Sprint & Stroll 5k is a holiday-themed 5k run and walk held in Cherokee Park at Hogan's Fountain, Scenic Loop, Louisville, KY on December 20, 2025. The event is organized by River City Races and is the 29th annual edition. Proceeds benefit United Crescent Hill Ministries. The race is part of the River City Races Run the 502 series, in which completing six series races earns a Run the 502 finisher medal with charms.

The in-person race follows a scenic course in Cherokee Park. The virtual option can be completed independently and results may be submitted between December 18 and December 21; finisher certificates and rankings become available after that submission window. Registrants receive a long sleeve cotton blend shirt available in youth sizes and a finisher medal. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in five-year categories. Refreshments are served after the race and photos with Santa are offered. Pre-race packet pickup is available the day before at Ken Combs Running Store and race day packet pickup and late registration take place at the Stegner Pavilion at Hogan's Fountain. Parking near Hogan's Fountain and the Scenic Loop is limited; participants are asked not to park on the grass. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
