Louisville SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run
The event is a multi-distance road race in downtown Louisville with race activity centered at Waterfront Park and nearby landmarks. Distances offered on race day include:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
The course passes by Historic Main Street, Waterfront Park, Louisville Slugger Field, and the Yum Center. Finishers receive a commemorative medal and a full-zip jacket as part of the event swag kit. At the finish area there is a post-race party that includes music, vendors, hot chocolate, and a finisher's mug served with chocolate fondue and dippables.
A Hot Chocolate Expo and packet pickup take place at Louisville Slugger Field on the Friday before the race. Packet mailing is available as an option for registrants. Race-day parking is available in the Louisville Slugger Field lot with the entrance on Main Street at Jackson Street; no parking is allowed on the course and vehicles that do not follow event signs may be towed.
Timing and photography are provided; high-resolution photos and race results are emailed to participants. Live runner tracking is offered the week of the event. The event uses an Event Alert System with color-coded levels to communicate course conditions and weather-related guidance.
A Ghirardelli Cocoa Club option provides upgraded onsite amenities and additional cocoa-related perks. Overall and age-group awards are given for the 5K, 10K, and 15K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
