Event overview
The Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce presents the 9th Annual Elf Yourself 5K on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Lake Forest Sports Park in Lake Forest, CA. The course is flat, contained entirely within the sports park, and consists of two and a half loops run on the park streets. The event is timed and organized into four waves - Fast PR Elves, Speedy Elves, Runner/Jogger Elves, and Walkers/Strollers/Pet Elves. Strollers and pets are allowed.
The start line is on the large grass area known as "the commons" before the soccer fields. The course will be marked with colored arrows, with one color used per lap. Pacers will lead each wave and a lead cyclist will guide the fastest runners. Awards are given for 1st through 3rd in age groups for males and females, plus top overall male and female awards. Every finisher receives a medal.
Logistics and on-site activities
Packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, November 21, 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Spectrum Specialties & Awards / The Lake Forest Chamber Office, 26239 Enterprise Court, Lake Forest, CA 92630. Runners must bring a signed waiver and ID; pickup for another person is allowed with a picture of their ID and a signed waiver. Entrances to the park will be closed prior to the race for runner safety. Overflow parking is available across the street at Saddleback Church.
A post-race expo will include local food samples, vendors, fitness companies, a Kid's Zone with photos with Santa and activities, bounce houses, a hot chocolate station, ongoing raffles, and a pet parade with costume contest and awards. Registration price listed is $39.68 including a $3.68 fee; the price increases after October 31, 2025. Registration by November 3, 2025, is required to guarantee a full swag bag.
