About the race
Wicked Spring Rogaine is a rogaining event held in Chinatown, Okuku Pass Road, North Canterbury on Sunday 8 November 2026. Teams navigate by map and compass on foot across terrain that ranges from open farmland to hilly forest, visiting checkpoints that carry different point values depending on difficulty.

Teams may consist of two to six members; shorter-duration events often allow solo competitors. Team categories include Men, Women and Mixed, with age divisions Open, Junior (all members under 23), Veteran (all members 40 or over) and Super Veteran (all members 55 or over). A team with a member under 14 must also include a member 18 or older.
Mandatory gear requirements include a polypropylene base layer top, waterproof jacket, hat and gloves, good footwear, one litre of water per person, a whistle, pencil, first aid kit per team, one cellphone per team and one compass per team. Suggested additional items include highlighter, gaiters or leggings, waterproof leggings and trekking poles.
The event emphasises respect for landowners, minimal environmental impact, gate and stock handling, and safety procedures including whistle distress and search calls. Refund and entry conditions apply. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
