Bridge to Bridge Ultra Marathon
Bridge to Bridge Ultra Marathon is a set of trail and riverbank runs along the Waimakariri River in Canterbury, finishing on Raven Quay in Kaiapoi. The main event covers a 60 km route from near the Waimakariri Gorge and Waimakariri Golf Club to Raven Quay. Shorter options follow similar terrain and finish at the same location.

Courses run along River Road, the stop bank and single-track trails through Waimakariri River Park, including passages under the motorway bridges. Aid stations are located at approximately the 15 km mark, Downs Road (30 km), and Harrs Road stop bank (45 km) and provide water, electrolyte drinks, bananas, soft drinks and snacks. No disposable plastic cups are provided at feed stations; runners are advised to carry a reusable cup or bottle.
The 60 km and 30 km events have age minimums of 18 years, the 15 km requires a minimum age of 16 years, and the 5 km requires a minimum age of 7 years. The 60 km event has compulsory gear requirements, including warm layers, waterproof outerwear, a survival blanket and a charged mobile phone with the organiser contact programmed. Bag drop is available only for the 60 km event and is handled via race pack pick up the day before the event. Porta-loos and toilet facilities are provided at aid stations and participants must carry out any waste taken onto the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
