Wicked Spooky 5k & Creepy Crawly Climb
The Wicked Spooky 5k and Creepy Crawly Climb take place on October 31, 2026, at Wicked Weed’s Funkatorium on Coxe Avenue in Downtown Asheville. The 5k starts and finishes at the Funkatorium and the event includes an on-site kids climb that begins and ends at the same location.

5k registration includes a long sleeve race shirt, a finisher medal, chip timing, and a donation to MountainTrue. Participants aged 21 and over may choose a Wicked Weed craft beer or an N A beverage as part of the event. Virtual 5k entrants receive mailed swag including shirt, medal, and bib with US shipping only.
The Creepy Crawly Kids Climb has a flat registration fee and includes a finisher medal; a race shirt can be added for an additional fee. Parents are allowed to run with children on the kids climb. Strollers are welcome. Dogs are permitted at the brewery patio or beer garden but are not allowed to run with participants; service animals may be allowed with prior approval and supporting documentation. Running with an animal will disqualify the entrant from award categories and official timing results.
Awards are given to top finishers in Male, Female, and Nonbinary divisions, age group winners receive pint glass awards, there are masters categories, and two costume winners receive pumpkins. Virtual runners are not eligible for awards.
The event supports MountainTrue. There is a no refund policy; transfers to virtual status or to another runner or distance are permitted up to five days before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
