Wicked Spooky 5k & Creepy Crawly Climb
The Wicked Spooky 5k & Creepy Crawly Climb takes place in Downtown Asheville, North Carolina. The event starts and finishes at the Wicked Weed Funkatorium on the South Slope. Participants can choose between a standard road race or a shorter children's event. Costumes are encouraged for all participants.

The 5 km course is chip timed and follows a route through the downtown area. Registration for this distance includes a long-sleeve race shirt and a finisher medal. Participants aged 21 and over receive a craft beer after the event, while those under 21 or choosing not to drink alcohol receive a non-alcoholic beverage. A virtual option is available for those who cannot attend in person, with race materials mailed to a US address.
The Creepy Crawly Climb is a dedicated event for children. The course spans approximately 0.25 mile, traveling from the Funkatorium to the intersection of Coxe Avenue and Hilliard Avenue and back. This section of the road is closed to vehicle traffic. All children receive a finisher medal, and parents are permitted to run alongside the participants.
The event supports MountainTrue, an organization focused on environmental conservation in the Southern Blue Ridge. Strollers are permitted on the course. While dogs are welcome at the brewery patio or beer garden, they are not allowed to accompany participants during the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
