Wicked Spooky 5k & Creepy Crawly Climb
The Wicked Spooky 5k takes place on October 31, 2026, with start and finish at Wicked Weed's Funkatorium on Coxe Avenue in downtown Asheville, NC. The event includes a traditional 5k race and a new Creepy Crawly Kids Climb introduced in 2026. The kids climb begins and ends at the same location, follows a short out-and-back to the intersection of Coxe and Hillard on a course closed to traffic, and is approximately 0.25 mile.

5k registration includes a finisher medal, a long sleeve race shirt (sizes may be limited), a chip time, and a donation to MountainTrue. Registered adult runners aged 21 and over may choose a Wicked Weed craft beer or a nonalcoholic beverage. A virtual 5k option is available; virtual runners receive mailed race items within the US. The kids climb charges a flat fee and includes a finisher medal; guardians may run with children.
Strollers are allowed. Dogs are permitted at the brewery patio and beer garden but are not allowed to run with participants; service animals are allowed with prior approval and documentation. Awards include top overall and age group prizes, costume awards, and age group pint glass awards. Virtual runners are not eligible for awards. The event policy states there are no refunds and no deferrals; transfers to virtual or to another runner or distance are allowed up to five days before the event.
