Event overview
The Wicked Spooky 5k & Creepy Crawly Climb takes place on October 31, 2026, at Wicked Weed’s Funkatorium, 147 Coxe Ave, Asheville, NC. The event supports MountainTrue; a portion of race proceeds will be donated to that nonprofit. Registration spots remaining were listed as 319. Courses and race details
- 5k with chip timing, a long sleeve race shirt, and a finisher medal. A donation to MountainTrue is included in 5k registration. Virtual 5k options are available; race shirt, medal, and bib are mailed to U.S. addresses only.
- Creepy Crawly Kids Climb - new for 2026. The climb starts and finishes at the Funkatorium, goes up to the intersection of Coxe and Hillard (closed to traffic) and returns, approximately 0.25 mile. Kids receive a finisher medal; parents may run with their children. A race shirt is offered as an add-on.
Strollers are welcome. Dogs are allowed on the brewery patio or beer garden but are not permitted to run with participants; service animals may be allowed with prior approval and supporting documentation. Running with an animal will disqualify a participant from awards and timing results.
Awards include top 1st, 2nd, 3rd places by Male, Female, and Nonbinary categories, masters and grand masters, and age-group awards (15 and under through 80+). Virtual runners are not eligible for awards.
No refunds or deferrals are allowed; transfer and virtual conversions are permitted up to five days before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
