About the race
Wicked Spooky 5k and Creepy Crawly Climb is set for October 31, 2026, with start and finish at Wicked Weed’s Funkatorium on Coxe Avenue in Downtown Asheville. The event includes a main road 5k and a new kids climbing course that begins and ends at the same location.

Race registration includes a long sleeve race shirt, a wooden finisher medal, a race bib, chip timing, a donation to MountainTrue, and one Wicked Weed beer for participants 21 or older or an N/A beverage. Virtual registration is available; virtual entrants can receive the shirt, medal, and bib by mail within the United States.
The kids Creepy Crawly Climb has a flat registration fee and includes a finisher medal; a race shirt can be added for an additional fee. Costume awards are part of the event; two costume winners receive pumpkins. Top finishers in Male, Female, and Nonbinary categories receive gift certificates to Mountain Running Company and pumpkins. Age group awards are Wicked Weed pint glasses across standard age brackets; virtual runners are not eligible for awards.
Strollers are permitted with a request that they start near the back of the field. Dogs may be on brewery grounds but are not allowed to run with participants; service animals may be allowed with prior approval and supporting documentation. Course details are subject to change. The event has a no refund policy; transfers and virtual conversions are permitted within the stated timeframes and conditions. A portion of proceeds will be donated to MountainTrue.
