Wicked Spooky 5k & Creepy Crawly Climb
The Wicked Spooky 5k & Creepy Crawly Climb is a Halloween-themed running event based at Wicked Weed’s Funkatorium on Coxe Avenue in downtown Asheville, NC. The event offers a 5k road race and a short kids climb that starts and finishes at the same location. The kids climb follows a course up to the intersection of Coxe and Hillard, then returns, and is approximately 0.25 mile.
Included with 5k registration are a long sleeve race shirt, a finisher medal, chip timing, and a donation to the nonprofit MountainTrue. Adult registrants aged 21 and over may choose a Wicked Weed craft beer or a nonalcoholic beverage as part of the event offering. Virtual 5k options are available; race shirt, medal, and bib can be mailed within the United States after the event.
Strollers are welcome. Dogs are allowed at the brewery patio and beer garden but are not permitted to run with participants; service animals are allowed with prior approval and supporting documentation. Awards are given in Male, Female, and Nonbinary categories with gift certificates and pumpkins for top finishers and masters, costume awards receive pumpkins, and age group winners receive Wicked Weed Brewing pint glasses.
