Wicked Spooky 5k & Creepy Crawly Climb : Asheville, NC, October 31, 2026
The event consists of a 5k road race and a new kid's Creepy Crawly Climb. Both start and finish at Wicked Weed’s Funkatorium on Coxe Avenue in downtown Asheville. The kid's climb follows a short out-and-back course that goes to the intersection of Coxe & Hillard (closed to traffic) and is approximately 0.25 mile.
The 5k race includes a finisher medal, a long sleeve race shirt, a donation to MountainTrue, and chip timing. The Creepy Crawly Kids Climb includes a finisher medal and race bib; parents may run with their children. Creepy Crawler registration is a flat fee of $10 and a race-shirt add-on is available for $20 during checkout.
Virtual 5k options are available; virtual runners receive the race shirt, medal, and bib by mail after the event (US shipping only). Virtual runners are not eligible for awards.
Costume awards and top-finish awards are part of the event. Prize details include gift certificates and pumpkins for top finishers and pumpkins for two costume winners. Age-group awards include pint glasses across multiple age categories.
Strollers are allowed. Dogs may remain on the brewery patio but are not allowed to run with participants; service animals are permitted with prior approval and documentation. Transfers to virtual or another runner are allowed up to five days before the event. The event has a no-refund policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
