Wicked Root 50K
Wicked Root 50K is a trail event in Lowell, NC offering multiple distances. The course uses a full park loop of about 10 mile per circuit. Each loop has roughly 1,400 ft of elevation gain.

Flagging on course will use red ribbon and yellow arrows. Trekking poles are allowed and participants are asked to bring them. The aid station is stocked with basic food items such as pickles, cereal, pretzels, candy, fruit, and bacon. Hydration supplies include water, Tailwind, and a variety of sodas. First aid supplies are available at the aid station.
There will be bib pickup on race day; there is no day before pickup. The overall cutoff for the event is 10 hours. Medals are handmade pottery by BlueGill Pottery; each medal is unique.
Additional event rules state that dogs and strollers are not allowed on course unless a special exception is granted. Runners and walkers may participate if they can finish within the time limit. Entry fees are non refundable if the event is canceled. Race deferral requests are handled by the race director. This is a private event and unregistered participants are not permitted.
