Aid stations are placed along the route at roughly 1.75 to 2.25 mile intervals and provide water and/or Gatorade; aid stations at Devereux Beach also offer GU gels, petroleum jelly, and bathrooms. The event typically attracts close to 1,000 runners, including competitive and recreational participants.
Packet pickup is offered before race day at B&S Event Management headquarters in Shetland Park and on race day at the Salem Willows race site. Pre-registered participants by September 1 will receive custom long sleeve shirts; all finishers receive a custom finisher medal. Strollers are permitted but must start from the back of the field.
There is parking in and around the Willows and along Fort Avenue; parking in front of houses or in the adjacent neighborhood off Fort Avenue is not permitted and may result in towing. Post-race provisions include a selection of homemade and packaged food and drinks, plus a beer and mimosas tent with beverages available for an additional fee payable by cash or Venmo.
