5k Beer Run x Vennture Brew Co
The event is an untimed 5k fun run organized by the Wisconsin Brewery Running Series and based at Vennture Brew Co in Brookfield, Wisconsin. The route starts and ends at the brewery taproom and is planned to showcase the surrounding neighborhood. The course is approximately 5k and will be marked with arrows.
This is an open course on city sidewalks, streets, and trails; roads will not be closed and participants must obey traffic laws. Walkers, joggers and runners share the route. Dogs and strollers are permitted with appropriate care and caution. The event is rain or shine and there will not be a bag check. Registration is limited to the size of the taproom. Refunds are offered up to seven days before the event.
At the finish line each participant receives one craft brew from Vennture and a choice of a collector’s pint glass or a seasonal swag item from the Brewery Running Series. Registered participants can also enter prize drawings for items such as merchandise or beer.
A portion of event proceeds supports local nonprofits. For this event the organizer plans to donate 10 percent of proceeds to local organizations such as MADACC. Valid photo ID is required to receive alcoholic beverages; underage participants receive a token for a nonalcoholic beverage. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
