Whitney’s Walk for Suicide Prevention & Awareness
This event is a 5K walk and run taking place on July 25, 2026 at Jubilee College State Park in Brimfield, Illinois. Proceeds benefit suicide prevention and awareness initiatives at Carle Health Greater Peoria. The event is organized by Carle Health Center for Philanthropy with timing and scoring provided by ShaZam Racing.
The program offers both a timed 5K run and an untimed 5K walk with divisions for adults and youth (12 and under). Registration fees are stated as $30 for adults and $15 for youth 12 and under. To receive a T-shirt, registration must be completed by July 1; a T-shirt pickup is scheduled on July 21 at the Hult Center for Healthy Living in Peoria, and remaining shirts will be available for collection at the event location.
The event is weather permitting and has no alternate rain date. If the event is cancelled, proceeds will be treated as a charitable contribution to Carle Health Center for Philanthropy. Fundraising is part of the event structure; team donations may take up to seven business days to be applied to team totals. Awards for the 5K run include overall top male and female, masters (40+) top male and female, and youth (12 and under) top male and female.
