Whitney’s Walk for Suicide Prevention & Awareness
Whitney’s Walk for Suicide Prevention & Awareness is a 5K walk and run held at Jubilee College State Park in Brimfield, Illinois on July 25, 2026. The event is organized by Carle Health Center for Philanthropy and functions as a fundraiser; proceeds benefit suicide prevention and awareness initiatives at Carle Health Greater Peoria.
The event offers both a timed 5K run and an untimed 5K walk with youth (12 and under) and adult registration options. Published registration fees are $30 for adults and $15 for youth. A T-shirt is available for registrants who register by July 1; a pickup day is scheduled for July 21 at the Hult Center for Healthy Living in Peoria, and unclaimed shirts will be available on event day at Jubilee College State Park.
Timing and scoring are provided by ShaZam Racing. The 5K run includes awards for top overall male and female, top male and female masters (40+), and top male and female youth (12 and under). The event includes team fundraising and public leaderboards. The event is weather permitting with no rain date; if the event is canceled, all proceeds will be treated as charitable contributions to Carle Health Center for Philanthropy.
