Whitney’s Walk for Suicide Prevention & Awareness
Whitney’s Walk for Suicide Prevention & Awareness is a fundraising 5K event taking place on July 25, 2026 at Jubilee College State Park in Brimfield, Illinois. Proceeds benefit suicide prevention and awareness initiatives at Carle Health Greater Peoria.
The event offers a 5K run (timed) and a 5K walk (untimed) with separate youth (12 and under) and adult categories. Registration pricing shown for the event is $30 for adults and $15 for youth 12 and under. To guarantee a T-shirt, registrations must be completed by July 1. T-shirt pickup is scheduled on July 21 at the Hult Center for Healthy Living, 5212 Knoxville Ave., Peoria, IL 61614, and T-shirt pickup will also be available the morning of the event.
Carle Health Center for Philanthropy organizes the event and ShaZam Racing manages timing and scoring. The 5K run includes awards for overall top male and female, top male and female masters (40+), and top male and female youth (12 and under). The event is weather permitting and there is no rain date; if the event is cancelled, all proceeds will be treated as charitable contributions to the Carle Health Center for Philanthropy.
