Whitin Five Mile Race & Two Mile Health Walk
The Whitin Five Mile Race and Two Mile Health Walk is an annual Thanksgiving road event held in Whitinsville, Massachusetts at the Whitin Community Center, 60 Main St, Whitinsville, MA 01588. The event includes these distances:
- 5 Mile road race
- 2 Mile health walk
Registration information for 2026 notes tiered fees: $29 early registration through 9/30, $35 online registration through 11/25, and $40 for day-of registration. Online registration closes on the Wednesday before the race. Bib pick-up and in-person registration occur at the Whitin Community Center.
The course is USATF certified (MA07032JK). There are mile markers and a water stop about halfway. The route is described as flat and rolling.
Post-race amenities include hot showers, lockers, refreshments, and free parking at the Whitin Community Center and on surrounding streets. Whitin Five mugs are given to the first 50 finishers and the next 10 women after the first 50. The first 500 registrants are guaranteed a T-shirt; sizes are not guaranteed. The classic long-sleeve cotton T-shirt will be available.
Awards include cash prizes for overall top finishers and age-group awards with merchandise awards for top three in each division after cash awards. Awards must be claimed in person; one award per person. The event is held rain or shine. Walkers are not eligible for awards and must use the designated walking course.
