Whitchurch 10k Road Race
The Whitchurch 10k is a community road race that takes place in the historic market town of Whitchurch, Shropshire. The event accommodates approximately 1,000 participants who run through the town streets. The race is officially accredited and holds a UKA license.
The course follows a specific distance of 10 km. It begins and ends at Sir John Talbot's School. The route is described as mostly flat with some short hills. Participants pass through the Whitchurch town centre, where the course showcases local landmarks such as St Alkmund's Church, traditional public houses, and various historic half-timbered buildings.
Support services for runners include:
- One water station located along the route.
- Additional water stations provided during periods of hot weather.
- Water available for all participants at the finish line.
Registration is managed through an external platform, and the event offers different entry fees for UKA affiliated runners and non-affiliated runners.
