Shrewsbury 5k - 28 March 2026
Shrewsbury 5k is a series of graded 5k races held at the cycle circuit in Shrewsbury Sports Village, Sundorne Road SY1 4RQ. Races take place under floodlights on a traffic free course that is flat, sheltered and well maintained. The course is run over just over five laps.
There are three separate races in the evening, with athletes allocated to a race by predicted finish time; allocations are confirmed in race instructions emailed during race week. Race numbers are collected on the night. The event is staged under UK Athletics rules and has a minimum age of 11 on race day. Prize money is awarded to the top three men and top three women, and there is a course record bonus of £150; current records are 14:41 for men and 16:06 for women. Entry costs £16, or £14 for UKA registered runners. No refunds or deferrals are offered, but entries may be transferred to another runner until midnight the night before the race.
