Entry and access
All participants aged over 16 must show recognised photo ID such as a passport or driving licence to enter the station. Guests are allowed but their names and nationalities must be provided; a maximum of four guests per runner applies. Parking is available on site; attendees should follow signage and marshals and must not use the RAF Main gate for event access. The listed entry fee is £25 until 26 March 2026. A service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up.
Course, facilities and rules
The course runs around the RAF Shawbury airfield on tarmacked surfaces and is described as flat. Finisher medals and goody bags will be provided to runners. Trophies will be presented to the top three male and top three female finishers. An event village will include food and drinks vendors, sport and fitness stalls, toilets and portaloo facilities including a disabled-access unit, and large tents for changing. A water station is located at the 5km point.
Strict rules apply on litter and Foreign Object Debris (FOD); any breach may lead to disqualification, removal from MOD property, and a ban from future events. Baggage, guests’ baggage, and vehicles may be searched on entry. Filming or documenting on the airfield course is not permitted. The event is normally non-refundable; if postponed or moved to a virtual format, entries transfer automatically or a full refund can be requested.
