Whistler 50 Relay and Ultra : practical details
BC Athletics presents the 16th annual Whistler 50 Relay & Ultra at Whistler Olympic Plaza, Blackcomb Way, Whistler, British Columbia. The event offers solo and team formats that use looped courses centered on the race site.
Distances offered:
- 50 km solo: five 10 km loops, must be completed in under 9 hours 30 minutes.
- 50 miles relay: teams of 4 or 8, dividing 10 km loops among members.
The solo 50 km is described as a beginner ultra; participants are never more than 5 km from the race site. Team captains create teams and provide an access code for members to register.
Registration fees change by date and include mandatory charges; Race Roster now displays its processing fee up front and GST may apply. An optional Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program can be purchased only at initial registration to allow refunds through Race Roster.
The event takes place on the shared, unceded territory of the Squamish Nation and the Lil’wat Nation. BC Athletics does not offer general refunds; transfers to another person are allowed for a CA$10 fee if completed by September 30 and must remain in the same sub-event.
