Whiskey Run Atlanta
The Whiskey Run is a road running event taking place in Atlanta, Georgia, on September 6, 2026. This event combines distance running with a themed post-race celebration. Participants can choose between three different race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
The 10K course follows a specific route through the local area, and the Half Marathon consists of two laps of the 10K course with an additional 1 km out-and-back section south of El Tesoro. The event does not use closed roads or greenways, so participants share the route with other pedestrians and vehicles. Police officers are stationed at intersections to assist with crossings when safe to do so.
Aid stations are positioned every 1.5 miles along the course, providing water, Gatorade, and Maurten gels. Registration includes a participant bib and a shirt. Following the races, there is a celebration featuring whiskey sampling and churros.
Awards are provided to the top three male and female participants in the overall category and within specific age groups ranging from 19 and under to 70 and over. A portion of the proceeds from the event is donated to the Beltline. Parking for participants is available at the Lee and White facility.
