The Whisker Run 5K and 1 Mile Dog Walk takes place on August 7, 2026 in Valparaiso, Indiana, with proceeds benefiting the Hobart Humane Society. The event includes the following distances:

1 Mile Dog Walk

All participants must register online; online registration remains open on race day until 6:10 PM. Pre-race packet pick up is available August 5 and August 6 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and August 7 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Extra Mile Fitness Company, 3400 Calumet Avenue, Valparaiso. Onsite packet pick up is available on race day beginning at 5:00 PM. Participants who start late may be assigned the gun time for their start and may be subject to disqualification.

Race features include a custom finishers award, timing mats at the starting line, chip timing for finish results, live results via text and email messaging, and directional signs at turns. There is no processing fee for online signup. Race premium sizes are guaranteed to registrants by July 20.

Overall and age group awards may be claimed within 14 days following the event at The Extra Mile Fitness Co., 3400 Calumet Avenue, Valparaiso. Unclaimed awards after 14 days will be donated or recycled. Participants who do not pick up their race shirt on or before race day are not guaranteed a shirt.
