WHINLATTER FOREST HALF MARATHON & 10K : 24 May 2026
The event takes place at Whinlatter Forest in the Lake District on 24 May 2026. Runners start on the north side of the forest and finish on the south side. The course uses firm trail paths with steep climbs and fast descents. The route passes areas with panoramic views of Bassenthwaite Lake, Keswick, Skiddaw, and Derwentwater. Entry prices are shown in the range of £27–£30 depending on race and options. A custom event T-shirt is available for an additional fee of £12. Subsidised parking is available on site and is paid after the event at Forestry England pay machines.

Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North with real-time results. The event welcomes Canicross runners; one controlled dog per participant is allowed and dogs must remain on a lead at all times. All finishers receive a bespoke finisher’s medal, Wild Deer merchandise, a beer or soft drink, and a snack. There is a £150 bonus for any new half marathon record (men 1:19:48, women 1:44:10).
