Whidbey Island Marathon : Oak Harbor, WA (April 26, 2026)
The Whidbey Island Marathon event in Oak Harbor includes multiple distance options held along the Oak Harbor waterfront and nearby roads. Race locations include Windjammer Park on the Oak Harbor waterfront and a point to point marathon start at Bowman Bay Boat Launch north of Deception Pass Bridge. The full marathon crosses Deception Pass Bridge and is the only race that closes the bridge for runners.

Courses are coned, flagged, and marked; they are not closed to traffic. Organizers provide course monitors, certified flaggers, police presence, motorcycle support, and HAM radio monitoring. Water stations are located approximately every two miles with electrolyte drinks at every other station and energy gels available on the full marathon. Basic first aid supplies and portable restrooms are provided at aid stations. All participants are chip timed and disposable timing chips are used. The full marathon has a six hour course limit; the half marathon has a four hour thirty minute limit. Pacers are provided for both the full and half marathons. Shuttle service is offered to the marathon start from Windjammer Park and from select area hotels; there is no parking at Bowman Bay during the race.
