The Whidbey Island Marathon takes place on April 26, 2026 in Oak Harbor, Washington, with event activities at Windjammer Park (1600 SW Beeksma Dr). The event includes multiple race options and virtual categories:

- 1K Kids Run Virtual race options and discounted active military entries are also offered. Courses are USATF certified and the marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier. All participants are chip-timed; a disposable timing chip is used for official times and gun time is used for prize money.
Course, safety and logistics
The full marathon is a point-to-point course that starts at Bowman Bay Boat Launch, crosses Deception Pass Bridge, and finishes at Windjammer Park. The bridge is closed to runners during the marathon. The half marathon, 10K and 5K start and finish at Windjammer Park and follow routes through Oak Harbor, downtown, the Marsh Trail and Scenic Heights. Water and aid stations are located approximately every 2 miles, with electrolyte drinks at every other station and energy gels on the full marathon. Portable restrooms and basic medical supplies are available at stations. The full marathon has a 6-hour limit; the half marathon has a 4 hour 30 minute limit.
