Whidbey Island Marathon : Oak Harbor, WA
The event is held in Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island with the main festival area at Windjammer Park. Race day is April 26, 2026, and packet pickup and late registration are available the day before at Windjammer Park Interpretive Center. The courses are USATF-certified and the marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier. All participants are chip-timed.

The full marathon starts at Bowman Bay Boat Launch north of Deception Pass Bridge, crosses Deception Pass Bridge (the bridge is closed to other traffic for this race), runs through farmland, a loop near Silver Lake, past the US Navy Seaplane Base, and finishes along the Windjammer Park promenade. The half marathon, 10K and 5K start and finish at Windjammer Park and route through Oak Harbor downtown, the waterfront, Marsh Trail and Scenic Heights; the half includes an out-and-back through Scenic Heights and Penn Cove. The 5K turns back earlier than the 10K.
The courses are not closed to all traffic. They will be coned, flagged and monitored by course volunteers, certified flaggers, police, motorcycles and HAM radio operators. Water stations are located about every 2 miles, electrolyte drinks at every other station, and energy gels provided on the full marathon. Time limits: full marathon 6 hours, half marathon 4 hours 30 minutes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
