Event Overview

Location and Course
The 5K route starts and ends at the Big Rapids Bandshell, located behind Big Rapids Middle School. The course heads north along the Riverwalk trail and circles back. The route is described as primarily flat and is handicap accessible. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome.
Registration and Fees
Registration includes a race shirt for participants. Those who pre-register by April 15 are guaranteed a shirt; later registrants may choose from extras during packet pickup while supplies last. Shirts are available in adult sizes from XS to 3XL.

Event Features
The 5K run is a professionally timed event by the Michigan Running Foundation. Awards are given to top male and female finishers in multiple age categories, ranging from 19 and younger to 70 and up. Results are posted live and will be available on the event website after the race. Awards can be picked up immediately after the race. Children are allowed to participate with registered adults, and strollers are permitted.
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup and late registration are available on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Big Rapids Hospital Professional Office Building. It is also available on race day, May 16, at the Big Rapids Bandshell.
Purpose
