Event Details

The Two Hats One Mile is a Last Runner Standing endurance event. It takes place on June 20, 2026 at Two Hats Ranch near Big Rapids, Michigan.

Course and Format

The race is run on a private, one-mile loop. The course includes a 150-foot elevation gain, woodsy trail sections, some fast runnable areas, and a sandy downhill through an open field leading to the start/finish corral. It is a Last Runner Standing event, meaning runners must complete each one-mile loop within a 20-minute time limit and be ready in the starting corral to begin the next loop. The event continues until only one runner remains.

Participation

Registration is limited to 100 runners. Participants must be 14 years or older by race day. Registration includes a runner’s ID bracelet, a T-shirt, and a designated 12x12 foot personal space near the corral.

Rules and Winner Determination

Runners must be registered by 8:30 a.m. on race day. No aid is allowed while on the course. The winner is declared only after the last remaining runner completes a final solo "Victory Lap" within the 20-minute limit after all other competitors have been eliminated. If the last runner fails to complete this lap, there is no winner.

Additional Information

Proceeds from the race are donated to Montcalm/Mecosta Youth For Christ. No pets are allowed. Refunds or registration rollovers are not issued. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
