Two Hats One Mile : June 20, 2026
Two Hats One Mile is a Last Runner Standing endurance race held at Two Hats Ranch near Big Rapids, MI. The field is limited to 100 runners, with additional entries placed on a waiting list; the organizer may add spots at their discretion. Participants must be at least 14 years old. Registration includes a runner ID bracelet, a T-shirt, and a 12x12 personal recoup space near the corral. Proceeds will be donated to Montcalm/Mecosta Youth For Christ.
The race uses a one mile loop on private land about 10 minutes from Big Rapids. The loop features roughly 150 feet of elevation gain, woodsy trail terrain, some fast runnable sections, and a sandy downhill through an open field to the start/finish area. This is a Last Runner Standing format: runners are allowed a 20 minute maximum to complete each loop and must be back in the starting corral and ready to start the next loop within that time. Runners arriving after the time limit or failing to complete the loop are eliminated. No runner may accept aid while on the course. Declaring a winner requires completion of a solo "victory lap" under the event rules; if the last runner cannot complete that lap within the time limit, there will be no winner.
No unsupervised children under 14. Children accompanying participants are encouraged to remain within the participant’s 12x12 area or other marked spectator areas. No pets are allowed.
