Evart 4th of July 5K walk/run
The Evart 4th of July 5K walk/run is scheduled for July 4, 2026, with the course starting and finishing at Evart Elementary School, 515 N. Cedar St., Evart, MI 49631. The event is organized as a 5 kilometer run/walk with separate adult and youth entry categories.
All participants receive a ribboned button commemorating the 5K. Medals for places one through three are awarded by gender within the following age groups: 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. An extra prize is offered for the most patriotic outfit. Support on course is provided by volunteers, and refreshments and music are available at the finish area.
Pets are prohibited from participating. Photographs will be taken during the event and posted online; participants may inform a 5K volunteer if they do not want their picture posted.
Online registration information lists standard fees of $25 for adults and $15 for youth (18 and younger). After 11:59 pm on July 2, 2026, fees increase to $35 for adults and $25 for youth. Packet pick-up is available the day before from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the elementary school and on race day beginning at 6:30 AM. Results are available immediately after the race at the finish and posted on the event website later that day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
