Whangamatā Half Marathon - event summary
The Whangamatā Half Marathon is a community running event in Whangamatā that takes place at Williamson Park on Saturday 26 September 2026. The event offers multiple distance options and is organised in partnership with the Lions Club of Whangamatā and local event managers.

- 21 km Half marathon at Williamson Park
- 10 km course starting and finishing at Williamson Park
- 5 km community run organised by Coromandel's More FM
Entry is managed online with tiered fees that change across early and later deadlines. A $5 online processing fee applies to all transactions. Standard entries that include a finisher medal are only available while stocks last; medals have sold out in previous years. Online entries close on Wednesday 23 September 2026 and late entries can be taken in person at Williamson Park with late fees and EFTPOS.
Race number collection is handled at Williamson Park on the Friday and Saturday before the event, and others may collect numbers on behalf of entrants. Event cancellation protection is included for all entrants at no extra charge. Personal refund insurance is offered as an optional extra through XCover at the time of entry.
The event also offers downloadable training plans, a Pay an Entry Forward programme and gifted entries for eligible residents of the Thames-Coromandel and Hauraki districts.
