About the race
Pāuanui Trail Epic is a trail running event held on 20 March 2027 at the Pāuanui Surf Life Saving Club and surrounding trails on Pauanui Boulevard, Pauanui, New Zealand. The event offers four course distances with entry available as a runner or a walker:
- 34 km
- 22 km
- 14 km
- 5 km
Entries are timed professionally and include live tracking. Participants receive a race bib (with optional name personalisation subject to a cut-off), a timing chip that is secured to the shoe laces, and a race pack that may be collected at the pre-event registration at the Pāuanui Village Centre or at Race HQ at Pāuanui Beach Surf Life Saving Club. Hydration stations and toilets are provided on course, with water and Tailwind Endurance mix available at all hydration stations.
Age rules: the minimum age for the 34 km and 22 km events is 14 years on race day; children under 14 may enter the 14 km and 5 km events. Teams may enter the Teams Challenge with a minimum of four participants; a team score uses the aggregate finishing positions of the first four finishers, and the lowest score wins.
