About the race
Pāuanui Trail Epic 2027 is a trail running event held on 20 March 2027 at Pāuanui, starting and finishing on the beachfront outside the Pāuanui Surf Life Saving Club. The event offers four course distances with an option to enter as a runner or walker for each distance.
Distances:
- 34 km Ruamahua-nui
- 22 km Ruamahua-iti
- 14 km Middle
- 5 km Hongiora
Entries may be individual or as part of a team. Teams require a minimum of four participants; the team score is the aggregate finishing total of the first four finishers, with the lowest score winning. Age rules specify a minimum age of 14 years for the 34 km and 22 km events; children under 14 may enter the 14 km and 5 km events.
Race services include professional timing with shoe-tag timing chips, live tracking for supporters, visible race bibs, on-course hydration stations stocked with water and Tailwind Endurance mix, and toilets at various course locations. Finishers receive a medal and towel plus a downloadable certificate. Race packs are available for collection at a Friday pre-event registration in Pāuanui Village Centre or at Saturday pre-event registration at Race HQ; pick-up by a nominated person is allowed.
