Pāuanui Trail Epic 2027
Pāuanui Trail Epic takes place on 20 March 2027 at the Pāuanui Surf Life Saving Club on Pauanui Boulevard. The event offers four trail distances that start and finish on the beachfront outside the surf club.
Available race distances:
- 34 km Ruamahua-nui, option to run or walk
- 22 km Ruamahua-iti, option to run or walk
- 14 km Middle, option to run or walk
- 5 km Hongiora, option to run or walk
Participants may enter as individuals or as members of a team. Teams require a minimum of four participants; team scoring uses the aggregate finishing totals of the first four finishers, with the lowest total winning. The minimum age for the 34 km and 22 km events is 14 years on race day. Children under 14 may enter the 14 km and 5 km events.
Race services include professional timing with a shoe tag timing chip, live tracking for supporters, hydration stations with water and Tailwind Endurance mix, and on course toilets. Race bibs are worn on the front of the torso and timing chips are secured to shoe laces. Race packs are available at pre-event registration the day before or on the event morning. Successful finishers receive a unique medal and towel and a downloadable certificate. Spot prizes are awarded at prizegiving; winners must be present to collect prizes.
