Pāuanui Trail Epic 2027
Pāuanui Trail Epic takes place on 20 March 2027 in Pauanui, with the course starting and finishing on the beachfront outside the Pāuanui Surf Life Saving Club. The event offers four designated trail distances that use local off road trails around Pāuanui.
Available distances include:
- 34 km 'Ruamahua-nui' (enter as runner or walker)
- 22 km 'Ruamahua-iti' (enter as runner or walker)
- 14 km 'Middle' (enter as runner or walker)
- 5 km 'Hongiora' (enter as runner or walker)
Age rules specify a minimum of 14 years for the 34 km and 22 km events. Children under 14 may enter the 14 km and 5 km events. Online registration closes on the day of the event.
Race packs and athlete check in are available at a pre event registration at the Pāuanui Village Centre and at Race HQ on race morning. Race packs may be collected by a nominated friend or whānau member on a competitor's behalf.
Timing is professional and live tracking is provided. Race bibs are to be pinned low on the front of the torso and timing chips are shoe tags affixed to shoe laces. Hydration stations and toilets are placed on course with water and Tailwind Endurance mix available. All successful finishers receive a finishers medal and towel and a downloadable certificate is provided. A Teams Challenge is offered with a minimum of four scorers per team and team ranking based on the aggregate finishing total of the first four finishers.
