The Dave Jones Prom Run Series
The Dave Jones Prom Run Series is a nine-race running series held on the promenade at Weston-super-Mare. The adult event is a 5 mile race that covers two laps of the promenade. A one-mile junior race is held each month just before the adult race for children aged 4 to 16 (reception to year 11).

- 1 mile – junior race, ages 4 to 16 (reception to year 11)
The 2026/27 calendar lists nine dates from September 2026 to May 2027. The five-mile race is chip timed and staged under UKA rules; the course measurement is certified by a UKA-approved measurer. Medical cover is provided and results appear on Power of 10. A UKA race licence is approved for 2026/27. Under EA rules from April 1, 2026, headphones are not permitted.
Entries are available for the complete series or individual races. Series fees are shown separately for UKA-affiliated and non-affiliated runners; junior series and single-race fees are also specified. Entries for senior races close at 9pm on the Tuesday before each race; junior entries close at 5pm on the Wednesday before each race.
Facilities at the Race HQ at Revo, Marine Parade, BS23 1BE include refreshments, toilets, and paid parking along Marine Parade. There are no changing or shower facilities. Prizes and series awards are given in multiple age and gender categories; junior finishers receive medals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
