Event details
Western Invasion takes place on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Stragent Dog Park, 121 Summers Dr., Longview, TX 75604. The event offers in-person and virtual options. Registration for the in-person races includes an event-themed participation t-shirt and a custom finisher medal for the 5K, 10K, half-marathon, and 1 mile. Participants should register by 03/01 to guarantee t-shirt size. Awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped. Volunteers who work race-day tasks receive a code for a free race as a thank-you.
Events, courses, and awards
- Kid's Dash: free; short sprint of about 100–200 m.
- 1 Mile: untimed; receives shirt and finisher medal; no age-group awards.
- 5K: receives shirt and finisher medal; course available.
- 10K: receives shirt and finisher medal; course is two laps.
- Half-Marathon: receives shirt and finisher medal; course is four laps.
- Virtual Option: shirt and medal shipped the week of the race.
Age-group awards are given four deep in male and female divisions from 0-4 up to 80+. Overall medals are awarded for Overall Male, Overall Female, Male Masters (40+), Female Masters (40+), Male Grand Masters (60+), and Female Grand Masters (60+).
