West Seattle Monster Dash 2026
The West Seattle Monster Dash is a costumed community event at Lincoln Park in Seattle that raises funds for South Seattle College Cooperative Preschools. The event features a trail 5K and short kids dashes along park trails, plus a virtual shirt option.
- 5K
- 250 m (under 12 years)
- 100 m (5 years and under)
The 5K starts near Shelter #1 and runs primarily on trails in the upper portion of Lincoln Park in two loops. The route follows trail #6 past the wading pool and Shelter #5, turns at the north end to loop and return south on trail #2, passes the bathrooms near the south parking lot, and repeats for a second loop. The start and finish share the same location. The course will be clearly marked and volunteers will be stationed along the way. Advance registration for the 5K includes a Monster Dash t-shirt and a timing bib.
Kids dashes are untimed trail runs led by a costumed monster and run in heats to reduce crowding. Participants wear a "number one" bib and receive a plastic finishers medal. Jogging strollers are welcome; pets are not allowed. A Kids Zone will offer games, activities, prizes, and a photo booth. Packet pick up is available at West Seattle Runner and on race day at Lincoln Park near the starting line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
