About the race
West End Retro Run is an inaugural running event on Saturday, October 31, 2026, in the West End District of Original Southaven, at 8710 Northwest Dr., Southaven, MS 38671. The event presents a retro 1980s theme with elements such as neon headbands, Walkmans, and Members Only jackets.
The event offers these distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1K Family Fun Run (1 mile)
The advertised course runs past local landmarks in this order: City Hall, a civic corridor, Stateline Rd, Carriage Hills, and Saucier Park. The finish area includes food, family activities, and live music.
All event proceeds are designated for Original Southaven revitalization. Listed uses for the funds include West End community spaces, public improvements, and greenway connections. Registration pricing examples shown in the event details include a $20 fee for the 5K and a $15 fee for the 1K Family Fun Run. The organizer notes an early-bird registration period that ends August 31 and mentions team and referral refunds: a team discount that returns $5 per person when a team reaches five members, and a $20 refund after referring five friends.
