West End Retro Run
The West End Retro Run is an inaugural retro-themed running event held in Southaven, Mississippi on October 31, 2026. The event is based in the West End District with activities centered at City Hall and Saucier Park.
Event distances:
- 5K Run/Walk, 3.1 Miles, registration fee $20
- 1K Family Fun Run, 1 Mile, registration fee $15
The course starts at City Hall, follows Southaven’s civic corridor to Stateline Road, winds through Carriage Hills, and returns to Saucier Park where food, family activities, and live music are scheduled.
The event theme references the 1980s with retro attire suggestions such as neon headbands and classic Walkman-style accessories. Organizers state that 100% of event proceeds will be dedicated to Original Southaven initiatives, specifically funding West End community space enhancements, public space improvements, and greenway connections within the city’s founding district.
Registration details include an opening date of August 6, 2026 and an early bird fee period ending August 31, 2026. A team discount applies: when the fifth person joins a team, all team members receive a $5 credit. A referral program refunds $20 for every five friends who register using an assigned referral code, up to the original registration amount paid.
