About the race
Healthy West Chicago organizes the West Chicago Fit4Fall event at Reed-Keppler Park and along the Illinois Prairie Path in West Chicago, Illinois, on September 19, 2026. The event offers two race options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Youth Run (10 and under)
The 5K is a certified course on the Prairie Path. Registered 5K participants receive a Fit4Fall 5K shirt; the first 75 participants who pick up their registration packet receive a swag bag. Families of four or more registering together receive a $5 discount at checkout. Registrants who register by September 5 are guaranteed a shirt in their selected size.
Pre-race packet pick up is available at the West Chicago Park District ARC Center; race day packet pick up will be at Reed-Keppler Park outside Zone 250. Packets and shirts cannot be shipped. Registration categories and example fees listed include a student 5K option at $17.51 (includes shirt, bib, and medal), a 1 Mile youth option at $6.84 (includes ribbon), and adult 5K pricing with a resident discount option.
Awards include one overall male and one overall female trophy for the 5K and custom Fit4Fall medals for 5K finishers; all 1 Mile participants receive a finisher ribbon. Strollers are allowed though part of the route is unpaved; dogs are not permitted. All registrations are final; refunds, cancellations, and transfers are not offered.
