Wesley Waddle 10K5K
The Wesley Waddle 10K5K is a community sports event held at the Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. This event marks its 10th anniversary and features two primary distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km
The race course utilizes the campus and surrounding area, with the start line situated on Lexington Avenue and the finish line on North Maple Street. Free parking is available for participants on the Asbury Seminary campus. The event is stroller-friendly; however, pets are not permitted on the course, with the exception of ADA service animals.
All participants receive a commemorative shirt, a finisher's medal, and post-race refreshments consisting of coffee and breakfast. The event serves as a fundraiser and awareness platform for the END IT Movement and Refuge for Women, an organization providing care for survivors of human trafficking.
Cash prizes are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers. Specifically, first place receives $100, second place receives $50, and third place receives $25. In addition to cash prizes, trophies are presented to the top three overall finishers and the top three male and female finishers in various age divisions, ranging from ages 5 to 75 and older.
