Welshpool 10K
The Welshpool 10K is organised by Adrenaline Sporting Events and is scheduled for Sunday 22 March 2026 in Welshpool, Powys. The event distance is 10 km. Race headquarters, start and finish are at 42 Broad Street, Welshpool, SY21 7JQ. The event is held on fully closed public roads.
Course and logistics
The race is a one-lap, undulating route that starts and finishes in the town centre. The route runs along Welshpool High Street, Berriew Road, Red Lane and the Powis Estate, and passes Powis Castle. The start and finish area will include music and flags. A race village is located a short walk from the local park, car parks, shops and cafes.
Spectator areas include pavements alongside much of the route. Roads are closed by permission of the council and will re-open in line with the event pace. The race cut-off time is 90 minutes; runners falling behind this pace may be asked to withdraw.
Parking guidance given by the organisers: visitors from Newtown, Aberystwyth and South Wales are directed to the public car park at Berriew Road, SY21 7SS (this car park will not be accessible after 8:45). Visitors from Chester, Wrexham, Oswestry and Shrewsbury are directed to the public car park at Welshpool, SY21 7DD.
Prizes and charity
Awards are given to the top three female and top three male finishers and to 14 age-group winners (seven female and seven male). Donated proceeds go to Hope House. Finishers receive water and a finishers medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
