Welshpool 10K
The Welshpool 10K is a running event in Powys, Wales. The one-lap 10 km course starts and finishes on High Street in the town centre. The route takes runners along Welshpool High Street, Berriew Road, Red Lane, and through the Powis Estate, passing the grounds of Powis Castle.
The event uses fully closed roads. A cut-off time of 90 minutes is in place for runner safety, after which roads begin to reopen. Participants include first-time runners and more competitive athletes.
The race headquarters and start/finish area is at 42 Broad Street. This location is a short walk from town centre car parks, local parks, retail shops, and cafes. Water and a finisher's medal are provided at the finish line.
Awards are given to the top three female and top three male finishers, plus 14 age group winners (seven female and seven male). The event's charity partner is Parkinson’s UK. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
