Welshpool 10K
The Welshpool 10K is a road running event organised by Adrenaline Sporting Events in Welshpool, Powys. The event brings together a range of participants taking part for fitness, competition, charity, health, fun or to complete the distance. Participants include nervous first timers through to competitive runners.
Race headquarters is listed as 42 Broad Street, Welshpool SY21 7JQ. The event is a single lap road race that starts and finishes in the town centre on fully closed roads. The route passes Welshpool High Street, Berriew Road, Red Lane and the Powis Estate and includes a fast start and finish and a section that takes in Powis Castle.
For safety the roads on the course are fully closed and marshals are in place; spectators are asked to stay off the course until runners have passed. The race has a 90 minute cut off and slower runners may be asked to withdraw for safety reasons. At the finish participants receive water and a finishers medal.
The race village and Race HQ are a short walk from local parks, car parks, shops, cafes and eateries. Parking is available in public car parks at Berriew Road SY21 7SS and Welshpool SY21 7DD.
