Course, prizes and logistics

The Race HQ and start/finish are at 42 Broad Street, Welshpool, SY21 7JQ, a short walk from several town centre car parks. The race village is near the local park and town shops and cafes, and a help desk will be available at Race HQ. Parking guidance lists the Berriew Road public car park (SY21 7SS) for arrivals from Newtown, Aberystwyth and South Wales, and another public car park (SY21 7DD) for arrivals from Chester, Wrexham, Oswestry and Shrewsbury. Roads on the route will be closed for the safety of runners and volunteers; residents and spectators are advised to follow marshal instructions, avoid the course until runners have passed, and watch the start and finish from High Street. Awards are given to the top three female and top three male finishers and to 14 age-group winners (seven female and seven male). Donated proceeds support Parkinson’s UK.
