About the race
The Welsh 3000's Ultra Run is a guided mountain run across the 15 Welsh peaks over 3,000 ft, held in Snowdonia in North Wales. The route crosses the Snowdon, Carneddau and Glyderau ranges and includes the traverse of Crib Goch.
The course covers approximately 30 miles (50 km) with about 4,000 m of total ascent. The event is run by experienced trail leaders who hold British Mountain Leader and British Athletics qualifications. The format is a guided mountain run rather than a race, with a guide and a support vehicle provided as part of the entry.
Transport to the start is included. Premium aid stations provide a selection of hot and cold food along the route. The organiser lists a minimum age of 18 years for participants and a booking fee of £170. The event date is 12 September 2026, with bookings opening 4 July 2025 and closing 4 September 2026.
Participants should expect a long, sustained day in mountainous terrain that requires prior long-distance running experience. The organiser provides terms and cancellation information and offers optional event refund cover. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
