Event overview

The Welsh 3000's Ultra Run takes place on Saturday 12 September 2026 in Snowdonia, North Wales. The event is a guided mountain run over the 15 Welsh 3,000 ft peaks, covering the Snowdon, Carneddau and Glyderau ranges. The route includes the traverse of Crib Goch. The event is not a race. Minimum age to participate is 18.

Format and services

The route is approximately 30 miles (50 km) with about 4,000 m of total ascent. The run is guided by trail leaders who hold British Mountain Leader and British Athletics qualifications. Transport to the start, a mountain guide and a support vehicle are included. Organisers provide premium food stations with hot and cold options. The booking fee is £170. Bookings open 4 July 2025 and close 4 September 2026. There is an option to purchase XCover to allow for a possible refund if a participant cannot attend.
