Wellingborough 5
The Wellingborough 5, known as the Welly 5, is a 5 mile road race through the Northamptonshire countryside held on 12 July 2026. The course starts and finishes at the Wellingborough Old Grammarians Memorial Sports Field on Sywell Road, NN8 6BS.
The route is described as gently undulating and is run largely on quiet country lanes. Distance markers are provided every mile and there is at least one water station on course. Event facilities at the sports ground include parking, toilets and a bar.
The event is managed by Go Beyond Events on behalf of the Wellingborough and District Athletics Club. Prizes are awarded overall to 1st male and 1st female. Age-group trophies are awarded by first place only in specific bands: men 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+; women 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65+.
